He presents Beyond the Bark’s public and private lectures and is happy to take on any public education project. Mike oversees the continued training and continuing education of all of our staff. Megan Vannelli, CPDT-KA, BS- Trainer and Home Pet Care Provider
Megan has always loved spending time with dogs. Her first job was walking neighborhood dogs after school for a dollar per day at 8 years old. Since that time she worked as a dog walker and sitter all through college. Megan has a Bachelor degree in Psychology from Wayne State University and spent 15 years as a social worker. She is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers and now likes to think of herself as a multi-species life coach.
Megan became involved in dog rescue as a senior dog foster after losing her 13 year old lab mix, Gertie. She found her passion for training through fostering. After taking in a very fearful, semi-feral foster Megan began learning all she could about canine behavior modification. Megan loves working with fearful and reactive dogs, but really she loves every dog she's ever met.
